KEARNEY — The Development Council of Buffalo County and the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce are pleased to extend an invitation to all interested parties for the upcoming 2024 Candidate Forum.
The forum is designed to provide a platform for candidates vying for positions on the Kearney City Council and the Nebraska State Legislature District 37 seat.
Scheduled to convene on May 6th at 5:30 pm, the forum will be held at the Gail and Michael Yanney Pavilion, 2020 W 11th St. This non-partisan and non-endorsing event aims to foster dialogue between candidates and the local business community, ensuring an informed electorate for the upcoming elections.
“We believe that this non-partisan and non-endorsing forum will provide an invaluable opportunity for our business community to get to know the candidates who are contending for these important elected positions,” said Derek Rusher, President and CEO of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.

This initiative seeks to address topics and concerns relevant to local businesses, contributing to a more informed electorate and strengthening the connection between the business community and elected officials.
