KEARNEY — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest Measles report shows 378 total cases for the U.S. so far in 2025 – up nearly 33 percent from 2024. Experts fear cases will continue to climb with many families recently coming off of Spring Break.
Dr. Renuga Vivekanandan, Chief Medical Officer for CHI Health’s Physician Enterprise, urges vaccination and awareness of measles symptoms.
Measles, which has also been reported in neighboring state Kansas, is an airborne and highly infectious rash that often spreads through travel and in areas where many people are unvaccinated.
