Kearney, Neb. – Nebraska Kearney has named Randi Todd as the Lopers new cheerleading coach.
She replaces Morgan Wilkins and begins her duties immediately.
“I am thrilled to continue my coaching journey at UNK and committed to developing athletes who are not only skilled cheerleaders but also strong, confident individuals both in and out of uniform”, said Todd.
Todd, who currently serves as a third-grade teacher in Lexington, coached tumbling at Kearney High School for two years, followed by an eight-year tenure at Lexington High School. At Lex, she played a pivotal role in building the cheer program from the ground up, creating a strong foundation for success and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. Three of her former students are now on the UNK cheer team.
“We are so excited to have Randi lead our cheer program. She has excellent experience and knowledge of the sport and a drive to take the program to the next level,” said UNK Associate A.D. Rachael Page. “Randi shares the UNK Athletics mission and vision and will help provide the best collegiate athletic experience for our student athletes.”
The Lopers had 15 members on their 2024-25 roster with the team performing at numerous UNK events and at the MIAA Basketball Tournament in Kansas City.
